Stayed at Hamiltons Reserve in 2000. It is a stunning place, you won't be disappointed. It is so clean and it is literally over the road from where we are staying this year in Montego Bay. Yes it is only 10 mins from Disney and is in a great location for everything.

Dawn you cannot fail to enjoy Florida it's a really great place. You can make it as relaxed or as hectic and fun packed as you want. I went through a phase of wanting lots to do on holidays.....but I seem to be drifting back to wanting to do nothing except soak in the sun.

A girl after my own heart Sandra, I love just lying there and sipping on a beer at the side of the pool with a good book EXCEPT this year we are taking the kids!!!

Oh well, I can still dream. We are going to Costa del Sol in May, one week all inclusive.

Dawn x

I'm flying to Sanford airport. Is it right that it is about 30 mins drive b4 u get 2 Orlando?

Sandra

it's a quieter airport, and the longer drive gives you more chance to get used to the driving.

I was in Florida back in 2000, it's the food (unfortunately for my waist) that sticks in my mind, oh thoses huge portions, puts our retaurants to shame.

It also helps to know where you are staying. A work colleague of mine will be there the same time as me and he doesn't even know where he is staying yet.Its daunting enough as it is the first time without having that as well. If you want to send me a private message Dawn, with your address i can send you some maps of how to get to Hamiltons Reserve. Its up to you but it does help a little to get to know the names of the roads before you go.

How many of you on here like to just lie by the pool or on the beach all day? Don't mind it but there has to be something else to do when you don't feel like it. I'm not in to this hiking holiday thingy though. That looks to strenuous. :D

It's such a wierd time for everyone to be going on holidays cause it's like the middle of the year.. I'm going away towards the end of May and the begining of June to England, Ireland, Paris and Wales... which reminds me.. how has the whether been there? what kind of clothes do I pack. It's almost winter here and we're wearing jeans and t-shirts (though it is quite cold today! I think it's about 18^Celcius!).. I'm guessing it's getting hotter there now? Oh and on our way back to Australia we're stopping off at Singapore (which I hear gets very hot this time of year) so I'm guessing I should just pack my whole wardrobe to be safe:confused:

Hi Jess,That would be a good idea to pack everything because we had a very warm day yesterday which was 18-20 celsius.I think you may find it quite cold over here if you think 18 is cold in Aus. That is a nice day in Wales. Unfortunately it is raining again now 9-15 am sunday.Thats british weather for you though.Still ,its about 30 degrees in Florida at the moment and I cant wait, only 15 days to go.See you soon. :rubberduc :mama:

Jess don’t forget to pack an umbrella, pretty much an essential ‘fashion accessory’ here in Wales :)

I totally hadn't even thought about taking an umbrella, Thanks Jen! (and i wouldn't want to look like a dork without an umbrella would i?!?!) Oh, that's a good excuse to buy a new umbrella, better be safe and just get a plain black one.

Have you gone yet Sandra?! I hope I haven't missed you already..

Jess
05-11-2005, 09:55 AM
Oh, glad I haven't missed you's yet.. I'll send you an email tomorrow (hopefully if I remember lol) I've got something very special to give you when I visit!!

I got that "pants" was not a good thing, it's still strange to me though lol.. funny stuff.. I wonder if I start saying it here if it would spread around, or if people would just look at me funny  probably best not to tamper with that one..

ooh, I gotta get some vegemite to take over too! thanks for reminding me.. hey steve "he just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwitch" hehee:neener2:
