Rainy and Sunny

We are going to be trying something new next term called 'The Adventures of Rainy and Sunny' where, as the title suggests, we tell stories and adventures about our pigs 'Rainy and Sunny'. More details on this later but for now lets try and write our own little adventures for some fun.

I'll start a story and everyone add a few lines and lets see where it takes us.

It was a lovely day when Sunny woke up so he called Rainy and suggested they went out for the day. "But where?" said Rainy, "everywhere is sooo busy because the children are off school". "I don't know" said Sunny, "meet me outside the Spar and we'll decide then"................

So they both met by the Spar, but first they both had to go and buy some supplies, he came back with -

Sunny bought:- some apples, a banana and a bottle of mineral water. Sunny stored his items carefully in his rucksack.
Rainy bought:- a lollipop, crisps and a bottle of coke. He shoved these items into his grubby pockets.

Still unsure as to where to go they set off towards the Glebelands................

And this is Rainy

[mouse boy]

while they were playing at the Glebelands, Rainy saw a massive puddle and decided to stop playing with Sunny and go play in the puddle instead. Sunny tiptoed carefully around the muddy puddle but Rainy jumped in as hard as he could and splashed Sunny with muddy water.........

[Jen]

Sunny stood with his hands on his hips, the muddy water dripped from his snout, “that wasn’t funny” he snorted, “yes it was” Rainy replied, then he skipped merrily towards the biggest puddle he could find, then with a huge leap splashed right into the middle.
Sunny pulled the lollipop from his pocket, sat on the nice warm grass and soaked up the first rays of the spring sunshine..........

[Sandra]

"Hey!" shouted Rainy "thats my lollipop give it back". "No, I'm going to sit here in the sun and eat it, because you splashed me and I hate being wet"...............

[bookworm]

" But your Sunny, can't you just dry it off" argued Rainy "I know I can but I don't want to" replied Sunny. Rainy grabbed Sunny's mineral water and took a huge gulp.As he swallowed the water he began to cough and splutter. " Ha ha ha " laughed Sunny. Still laughing Sunny ran off to the swings Rainy followed but he didn't see a log lying on the floor........

[mouse boy]

Rainy tripped over the log and landed face first in the long warm grass. While in the grass Rainy found a shiny gold key. "Hey Sunny I just found a gold key in the grass I wonder what it opens" called Rainy. "It could open a treasure chest" said Sunny running back to Rainy. They stared at it ..............

[mamma mia]

they both hestitated for what seemed like forever, then Rainy eventually felt brave enough to pick it up, there was something about that key that made him feel very nervous.........

[Jen]

“Oh this looks like it’s going to be an adventure after all” squealed Rainy in a very nervous voice.
They both looked around the park in search of clues, “Hey look over here” called Sunny, “it looks like a underground tunnel, lets see where it leads”, “Good idea” replied Rainy, “ here's the key, you go first, I’ll follow”…..

[Sandra]

As the two adventurers set out down the tunnel, they noticed a very strange smell, it was a familiar smell but strange because it didn't belong in this tunnel. As they crawled deeper and deeper into the tunnel it began to change....instead of the sides being made of stone they were made of .............

[Jen]

What looked to be old tennis, football and rugby balls, how strange thought Sunny, “That’s where all the lost balls end up” said Rainy, “Look that red one by there is the one Grandpa Stormy gave me for my birthday”, Sunny scrunched up his snout and said, “Oh that smell, what is it?” “I don’t know” replied Rainy” but it’s certainly getting stronger”........

[John]

..... and with that awful smell running through their nostrils, both Rainy and Sunny desperately needed to come back to the surface for some huge gulps of fresh, clean air. They climbed back up through the tunnel and guess where they popped up... right on the top of RainbowSunbeam Hill.

"Wow" said Rainy... "I can see all the way across to the other side of the hill. Shall we go for a walk..."? he asked Sunny.

"OK", replied Sunny... "Come on then Rainy, what are you waiting for..."? and with that Sunny started to trot down the hill waiting for Rainy to follow .....

[Sandra]

"Oh no!" exclamed Rainy, "I've just realised what that awful smell is, no wonder it seemed so familiar....it's Frosty trying to bake cakes again, when will he ever learn that he's just not meant to be a chef. " Sunny ran down the hill as fast as his little trotters would carry him, come on, last one down has to eat one of Frosty's cakes. The two pigs ran so fast they were almost a blurrr, but they came to an abrupt halt when..............

[mouse boy]

They bumped into Mr. Boar. Now we're in trouble they both thought. Hey you two shouted Mr Boar, we were never allowed to run down hills like that when I was young, oh no I had to get up early go and deliver my newspapers in all sorts of weather, before breakfast, then I had to....luckily the two pigs were rescued by........................

Windy who had blown lots of old newspapers that he had found in Mr Boar's garage between Sunny and Rainy. They ran as fast as they could back into the tunnel. Sunny stopped and shouted back to Windy "Thank you very much". "Thats ok" replied Windy.

The two pigs ran back through the tunnel and out the other side but they didn't appear in the Glebelands. "Where are we" said Rainy in shock. They were at.......

they had appeared in 'Wolf's woodland', now they were in trouble, and had to use all their cunning to get them out safely, but little did they know that they had been followed through the tunnel by........

Rainbow and Sunbeam the three year old twins.They came out of the tunnel wailing and screaming. "Oh nooo! its the twins" shouted Sunny over racket of the crying toddlers."we've got to do something to keep them quiet" said Rainy. Sunny pulled the gold key out of his pocket and threw it on the floor.The twins barely noticed it and went on screaming. Suddenly Rainbow and Sunbeam stopped crying and looked up with guilty eyes.Rainy and Sunny slowly turned round and saw.................

[Steve]

the way out,Sunny tried the door,it was locked.. "Ah! the key" they all said together.If it was the key for the way in ,the chances are it would be the key for the exit as well ,maybe?... Rainy put the key in the hole,turned it ,click Aaaaaaaah! a trap door had opened beneath them, sending them hurtling down down down.They fell for what felt like seconds until ,sploosh they landed in what appeared to be a river of chocolate, flowing towards a some chocolate rapids at the end of the tunnel.............

As they fell, a terrible noise started behind them. The twins had wandered over to the hole and fell into it. As Rainy and Sunny reached the chocolate rapids every thing turned quiet and calm. "Where did the rapids go". asked Rainy. Suddenly the two pigs found them selves in a pool of chocolate. They both started to slurp it up.Then Sunny realised something "Where are the twins" gasped Sunny."Ohhh nooo" Rainy had spotted them on top of a.........

[Jen]

Huge floating marshmallow, “Help us they both shouted” we are not allowed to have chocolate before dinner, Rainy looked towards Sunny and whispered, “What shall we do, we must help them”. They both scoured the surrounding area for something that might help; Rainy glanced to the left and spotted just the thing, "look over there, if only we could grab that......

[Sandra]

giant Jelly Tot. Both pigs grabbed hold and managed to pull themselves onto it, they carefully rode the giant jelly tot until they could jump safely back to land. When they reached land they noticed before them a sign, Sunny read the sign out loud, "You are now entering the land of children's stories....proceed with caution!". "What do you suppose that means " said Rainy. "Hey, I know" said Sunny, "That was just like the chocolate river from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". The 2 pigs walked on in slight confusion, but they stopped suddenly when they found themselves in another story, "wow, this is..........

[Steve]

the house that belongs to the 3 bears."PORRIDGE!"they all shouted together and dashed toward the table."We like hot porridge," said the twins,"I love cold porridge" said Rainy ."I adore hot porridge" snorted Sunny and they ate every last drop of the stuff, forgetting that they had just ruined one of the classic childrens stories of all time.Then they heard snoring from up stairs.Goldilocks looked pretty confused as she awoke to find 4 pigs at the foot of her bed instead of 3 bears."you had better go quick "she said "the bears will be back soon". Out the door they all ran and bumped straight into.......

[Jen]

An enormous bean stalk, “oh this means trouble” sqealed Sunny, “I’m scared the twins” cried in unison.
“We have to climb to the top and see if we can find Jack, he might be able to help us” Rainy said.
One by one they started to climb the never ending foliage......

[Sandra]

"Can you help us Jack?" shouted Sunny, "we are a bit nervous of bumping into that giant, we're not very brave and we have two little ones with us". "No problem" said Jack "if you jump straight through this mass of twisted trees and vines it'll take you straight to...........

A deep dark wood.The four pigs wandered through and found a trail of breadcrumbs.
"Lets follow that trail" said Sunny."Good idea" said Rainy. They followed the trail for a good 30 seconds before coming to a big house that was made of sweets "WOW!" gasped Rainy "This must be the house that Hansel and Gretal visited".

The twins were munching on a candycane. Rainy decided to check inside the house.They opened the door and saw..........

The gingerbread man, "Oh no I have just got away from that horrible fox and now I have a bunch of piggies to contend with". "Oh don't worry Mr. Gingerbread man we don't want to eat you; we just want a little help” said Rainy, Sunny poked Rainy in the ribs and whispered “he does look rather tasty” Rainy gave Sunny an annoyed look. “I think you had better leave quick” said the gingerbread man, “That horrible fox will be here very soon and if I remember rightly he is very good friends with that big bad wolf, go out of the back door and you will find yourself in”……

The princesses castle.With that they heard a horrible, loud roaring noise.Suddenly Rainy and Sunny sat bolt upright rubbing their eyes."Where are we" they said sleepily "Oh no we must have fallen asleep"said Rainy.The horrible roaring that woke them up was a passing lawnmower."Look at the time we best be getting home" said Sunny, yawning. "Maybe we will have a adventure tommorrow instead!

So the two pigs only managed to reach the park, there they flopped to the grass and bathed in the Spring sunshine......and the rest...was it a dream, or did it really happen??
