Well we managed to get outside today and do some gardening for the first time. The children made some mini gardens, including grass, flowers, sun flowers and a little stone path. So all being well, they will grow, and the children can learn to look after them and water them in the meantime.

The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and it was a shame we had to go back indoors. I think this little project has made us even more determined to raise some funding for the garden than ever.

You're right Sandra it was fantastic being outside, even though I had to pick up all the slugs, snails, worms ect.

We are sadly still waiting on the funding so we can erect a fence, can’t really do much until that is in place, but let us assure you we are working hard on getting that funding. We will get our garden :chores_ga

Jen is going to mow the grass short, then Jen is going to rake all the grass to make sure it's clean, then Jen is going to sweep all the paving, then Jen is going to clean between the slabs. Then I will go out and check it has been done properly. :(

Chinese proverb says: she who mocks other peoples injuries has to do work all by herslelf. :neener2:
